Vehicle Loading and Weight Policy
For the safety of our customers, staff, and other road users, all vehicles operated by our company must comply with legal weight limits and road traffic regulations.
While we always make every reasonable effort to accommodate all items within the allocated vehicle, we cannot load a van beyond its legal weight capacity. Operating an overloaded vehicle is illegal and may result in fines, penalty points, vehicle impoundment, invalidated insurance, and safety risks.
If, on the moving day, the volume or weight of the goods exceeds the safe and legal carrying capacity of the allocated vehicle, our team reserves the right to refuse loading any additional items that would cause the vehicle to be overloaded.
In such circumstances, the customer will be responsible for deciding how the remaining items should be transported. Where possible, we may recommend allocating an additional vehicle to complete the move safely and legally. Any additional charges for a second vehicle, extra staff, or additional trips will be discussed and agreed with the customer before proceeding.
Our priority is to complete every move efficiently while remaining fully compliant with UK transport and safety regulations.
Pricing and Consumer Use
All prices are calculated individually according to the distance travelled and the locations involved.
Any third-party road charges incurred during a job for example toll roads, the Dartford Crossing, or congestion and clean-air zone charges on long-distance moves to areas such as London will be added to the final cost.
Our drivers are subcontracted, so any concerns about damage at a property must be raised with the driver on the day, not with the company afterwards.
Damage specifically to buildings, such as scrapes and scratches, is the responsibility of the customer and not the movers, as items being moved may not fit easily through tight hallways, doorways or staircases.
No claim is accepted on one-man van jobs, as you are accepting the role of second helper. If you wish to take on this responsibility, we are happy to accept the booking.
Any tickets received for incorrect parking will be issued to the customer.
Items reported as damaged after 24 hours will not be the responsibility of our team.
Any items lost during your move must be claimed within 24 hours. Please do not leave any high-value items in the back of the vehicle, and please carry small valuable items yourself where possible.
If you wish to make a claim for damaged items, you will be required to pay an excess of £500 per claim.
If you require overnight storage, additional costs apply depending on distance and location relative to us.
Additional charges may apply for early or out-of-hours moves from 8am onward.
Final prices are determined by the size and scope of your move.
